Engagement Objectives

As a result of numerous engagements, we have developed templates and outlines for consultations. You can choose to follow our outline and receive all consulting services or choose selected consulting services below.

1. Develop definition phase deliverables including a work plan, staffing, problem definition, current system functions, affected and unaffected functions, high level requirements, and project schedule.

2. Set-up DBA on your network server and users’ desktops.

3. Develop numbering schemes for key fields used throughout DBA.

   	- Part numbers
   	- Product classes
   	- Inventory categories
   	- Vendor codes
   	- Customer codes
   	- Ship to codes

4. Analyze your current situation, define requirements, and set-up as needed system defaults, including checking accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, and manufacturing, and security.

5. Set up and enter defaults for other functions included in your high level requirements such as commissions module, contact manager, etc.

6. Work with your staff to train for and oversee input of initial system data for vendors, customers, general ledger, etc.

7. Determine procedures and create custom documentation for each user and function within your company.

8. Provide training to all system users.

9. Monitor verification of DBA system balances against current system balances for parallel systems.

Custom Programming

If you require custom programming, we will define and test all program changes. We are experienced software developers and well qualified to discuss the concepts of programming, relational databases, and testing with DBA. Many times we can design alternative solutions to eliminate the time and expense associated with programming a custom solution.
